![]() This lesson will show you how to perform regression with a dummy variable, a multicategory variable, multiple categorical predictors as well as the interaction between them. A regression with categorical predictors is possible because of what’s known as the General Linear Model (of which Analysis of Variance or ANOVA is also a part of). ![]() Nominal and categorical variables are used interchangeably in this lesson. However, it is possible to include Nominal predictors in a regression analysis, but it requires some extra work in properly interpreting the results.
